SantaCon is free, but Santa wants you to bring non-perishable food donations for a local food bank. The first bar will have a donation box available.

You must be 21 to participate in this event. If you’re not 21, you’re welcome to parade around downtown Lawrence with the other Santas, however you may not enter the bars.

To accommodate Santas who can’t be on time, Santa has a schedule:

2 p.m. Santas festively gather at the Sandbar

3:00 p.m. Make our merry way to The Granada

4:00 p.m. Parade down Mass Street to The Replay

5:00 p.m. Hop on over to Red Lyon Tavern

Like previous years, Santas will spend approximately 45 minutes to an hour at each bar, with time allotted in between bars for spreading good cheer on Massachusetts Street. There will be designated Santas to let everyone know when it’s time to move on to the next bar. Please pay attention to the Santa in charge. SantaCon is more fun when large groups of Santas stick together.

THIS year, with so many festivities, we’ll have three post-SantaCon parties to choose from:

Option 1: Join a parade of Santas over the bridge and through North Lawrence to Frank’s North Star Tavern we go.

Option 2: Join Santas at The Sandbar to watch the KU Men’s basketball game. Game is at 7pm.

Option 3: Attend The Granada’s Tacky Sweater Party. It doesn’t start until 8pm so a good option if you’re a Santa who may need a nap after so much jolly celebration.
